It was an outdoor kinda weekend....

With our kids on their limited spring break (they only have 1/2 day on last Thursday through today off) and being on a limited budget, we decided to do a few roads trips....one to the ocean and one to a local park.

We got up early Saturday morning to drive to Ocean City, Maryland to see the sunrise.  Guess what we saw instead:

FOG!  It remain foggy on the ocean until we left around 2ish.  We did enjoy the boardwalk, Bayside Skillet, and some fishing.  And the kites were flying:

On Sunday we decided to do some yard work and then go and play at Piney Run Park.  This time it was sunny and gorgeous!  We got more fishing in an caught a catfish - we let him go, one fish isn't enough for all of us :)

And to end the weekend we watched the sun set from the fishing pier:

It was good family bonding weekend, some sunburn, some fishing, lots of driving, lots of fun!  Now back to reality.

who am I again?

The past week has been a whirl-wind experience...between traveling for Viking Machine training, to getting in quality time with the family, I have had a hard time catching up on things just for me. Hoping this week I can do that.

I'm soo behind (again) on my blog list and not to mention my quilting projects. I have to design and have a wall quilt finished by this Saturday. . . I think I can do it!

Here's a picture from my weekend with the family:

L-R: Allen (son in Philly going to chef school), Fallon (his girlfriend), Brianna (freshmen in hs), Micheal (our oldest), Kevin (hubby), Jo (our 80's friend :), Kendra (our youngest), Me, Sati & Ric (close friends)

Now to get ready for work. . .

I’m alive still….I swear….

The past week it's been a blur of traveling, excitement, and fun! I haven't done too much quilty related, but did attend a class last Monday and missed the second part last night. Reminds me I need to bring my materials in today so the instructor and help me finish it.

I had an excellent hostess over the weekend and wonderful bartenders! Thanks again to my friend Stacie for the desperate call for "let's get away weekend" several weeks ago.

I have lots of pictures to share, but I need to get ready for work - it's going to be a long day. Lack of sleep over the weekend won't help. :D

It will take me a day or so to catch up on lj and my blogline list. Hoping to find time tonite - if I leave work early.

Long weekend. . .

so much to share and tell.

I visited friends and 4 new quilt shops, 2 that I won't be returning to, 2 that I truly enjoyed.

Then I got my Doll Swap II quilt in the mail - - - it's sooooo adorable. I'm very happy with it, especially being I had no clue it would come so soon! Took pictures and will be sharing that soon.

I'm exhausted from the weekend visits with my friends and the lack of tolerance my body has with too much things going on at once. Some days I just hate my body.

Anywho....I'll be making several posts over the next day or so with lots of pictures and info, but tonite I think I'm going to bed early - my body is just tuckered out.

My weekend…

well my BOM group wasn't as big as I'd hope, but maybe some more marketing, we can pick up a few more new people for next month!

I did pick up some fabric to put my BOM from Live Journal on point. Talk about a challenge----yessshhhh. I will say though it was so much fun to do and the fabric we picked is a Jinny Beyer and something I would never use. I'll take pictures and post later. I'm very tickled how it is turning out. There is still one more block to do, but I hope to have the rest of the top completed this week.

Also started sewing on a few charity quilt tops I was given during my retreat in May. Easy to whip up, just need to iron them out and send them on to their next destination.

I'm very excited, because I'm back to having Wed & Thursday off this week, which means I can get more sewing done - and catch up on some house duties.

I truly love my job, but it's been so hard to find time to catch up on normal things.

Went to BJ's Club last night and restocked my chocolate stash - - need peanut m&m's when I'm stressed while sewing :D

Off to work for today! I think I'll be doing more updating on the website. We want to be live online by end of year.

I re-discovered this blog. . .

I have used my live journal to document my past year in quilts, but want to share it on a more global level and join more groups - especially ones that focus on UFO's and stash uses.

I started back in June with depleating my stash and unfortunately since late January, where I got a job at my local quilting store, have faulter terribly!

So, last week I again stopped and re-evaluated all my quilting stuff. From the stash to my UFO's. Organized all projects and updated my excel spreadsheet. Now that I own a Grace Home Quilting System (with a Viking Mega Quilter), I might actually finish some quilts.

This week my focus as been on my Dear Jane project that I finally started. And this weekend is going to be focused on quilting some tops - I have 8 that are ready to go on the frame with backing and batting.

I am considering joining a few RingSurf places, but apparently I need to post weekly for most to accept me, so I might bring in some older posts from my other Quilting journal/blog.

Need to update my picture too.
