To my new home! I'm VERY excited! I will no longer be posting in my blogger, but here. Please update your feeds.
Let me explain a few of my choices. I decided over a long time now to switch over to WordPress verses blogger - since mid-summer. The main thing holding me back was my layout, but with the highly TALENTED Kim from A Peach In Stitches, she designed a beautiful layout that just screams ME!! :D
A couple of features I really like in WordPress, is the commenting where you have to leave your email - meaning I can easily reply now to EVERYONE....very exciting (we all love emails) and also leaving your blog address (not manatory-because I know several readers who don't blog, yet). Now I know there is a pain with the confirming the comment in a seperate webpage and all, but I hope that doesn't stop anyone for commenting! I love comments!
So, that all be said, again WELCOME TO MY new blog. I have moved ALL my previous posts into this one for easy access and that includes the Manic Monday Offerings.
Any bugs or suggestions on making my blog more user friendly would be greatly appreciated!
Please update your bloglines or what ever reader service you use to this new feed and be sure to de-lurk and say hi from time to time! Also, check out my blogroll - - - it's a wee bit huge and I'm still editing it for easier reading.
I'm still working on the formating of text---I'm learning as I go along, please bare with me.
Keep reading down and see this week's Winner for Manic Monday Offerings....oh and to see what stuff I'm giving away this week too :D
Another day ripping out stitches and repairing the seams or in other words, just trying to quilt new sails.

A few of my favorite things. . . .
I figured it was a good idea to do a more detailed kinda post about my likes, dislikes and other info, especially being I sign up for swaps and it would help others in creating fun things for me! So, here's a happy break down of some of my favorite things:
A few of my favorite things:
~ Color - Purple, lime, turquoise, jewel tones, fall colors
~ Fabrics - batiks, halloween, beachy
~ Flower - sunflowers
~ Hobbies - Quilting, gardening & photography
~ Things - Cats, herbs, candles, tiki-beachy things
~ Season - Fall
~ Holiday - Halloween
~ Drinks - water, wine, tea, coffee, Starbucks
~ Food - spaghetti, grill cheese with tomato soup
~ Candy - dark chocolate, Dove chocolate, Godiva
~ Car -my blue Sebring Convertible
~ Magazines - McCall's Quilting, Quilting Newsletter (both I already subscribe to)
~ Vacation Spot - Key West
~ My Faith - Pagan
~ TV Shows - 4400, Super Natural, Eureka, The Dresden Files, Star Gate (all of them), CSI Las Vegas, Old and New Dr. Who - scifi is my favorite channel :D
~ Movies - (I watch these ALL the time, especially when I'm sewing) Mostly Scifi & Fantasy, Pirates of the Caribbean, LOTRs, Grease, 10 Things I Hate About You, Knights Tale, Kingdom of Heaven, Count of Monte Cristo, Everafter, Princess Bride, Harry Potter, Narnia, She's All That
I don't have many dislikes....really besides Brussels Spouts and mustard greens (both the only veggies I won't eat).
Really though I'm easy going and love surprises. Think I need to make this a link on my side bar for future referencing :D

The First entry. . .
Just to give the readers a brief oversight on how this ledger came about.
I have been quilting on and off for over 15 years now. Over the past 8 years I have done many things, online groups and ventures with quilting. The result was overspending, over stocking supplies, projects and miscellious notions. So, as I have sorted through my life over the past 4 months I rediscovered my love and interest in this art form on a more "zen" level for me.
I started in June with a UFO list of over 50 items and removed ALL my stash out of my house (of course gave it to good causes). Now, my focus is to complete most of my UFO's within the next year. It's been easy to start, until I discovered my local port of call (aka quilting shop) only 10 minutes from me. I ended up doing classes and finding new fabric to play with.
I have now returned back to a more focus direction and trying to finish up my UFO's and new projects.
The idea for this blog's theme is my love for being a pirate. I think it's a fantasy I love to throw caution to the wind and being blunt outside myself. I remember in 9th grade doing the Pirates of Pensance on stage and discovering The Pirate Movie (not a high quality flick, but one a lonely teenager loves to daydream too) started my pirating fantasies.
I discovered a new culture with Renaissance Faires and found a new home to play and dress up like a pirate! My home faire is Maryland, but I have visited and traveled to many other ports on the East Coast. I even now belong to a ship with a fun crew. It's all for socializing with and meeting new people.
I decided to combine my too loves into this ledger. I was stuck by another quilter's comment about most quilting blogs are "blah", not humorous or too serious. So, my goal to you the reader it to chart my travels with a sense of pirate jargen and hopefully humor you along the way.
I will be moving some older/previous posts from my other quilting blog, so you can see my summer progress. They will be boring and dry, but it was the landlober in me that made me post those.
So, sit back enjoy and please be an active reader. I encourage suggestions, ideas, and praises. Comments are booty for use blogging pirates at heart.
