Well, I haven't done too much over the past few days besides work and going to faire. Then we found out we will have family visiting us over Labor Day Weekend----next weekend. So, now need to add clean and organize house before Friday.
I plan to finish up my binding on my sunflower quilt to hang (show off) by next weekend and also added another little project to my pile to help a friend out in a swap.
I did get more started on my Hoffman Bali Pop project #1. Using the Butterscotch package of pops with a few extras to make the pattern more finished (if you look at the pattern, the last row is 1/2 of a pinwheel--weird and tacky, so I'm adding another row-pulled some batiks from my stash to do so), here's my first pinwheel block....only 11 more to go:
I also have the Mulberry and Mint Chip packages of pops and have another pattern (pops project #2) to use them with, but I think I'm going to have enough for another top at some point as well. I really want the Kiwiberry Pops too...ugh...so many, not enough time.....
I have 2 packages to mail tomorrow---I think the postman thinks I have crush on him or something? :) And I know I'll have more to mail later this week as well.
Ok, I'm rambling here....I have no more constructive words to say.
I love that block!!!! Can't wait to see more of them together!!! I didn't realize until earlier today that this was a holiday weekend coming up!!! I guess where I don't work outside of the house I loose track of the days. Enjoy you company!!!!

WOW! Didn't get much done, uh....I need your energy. That block is stunning. I love the colors and movement of the block. Way to go!
ReplyDeleteThanks Rhonda!
I think the kiwiberry is my favorite! What a great pinwheel block, your points are so perfect. I'm excited to see more of this beautifully warm colorway.
ReplyDeleteKiwiberry is my favorite, but we didn't have the "perfect lime batik" to work with what I wanted. I have one on hold though :) Thank you. I hope to get more done over this week!
The block looks wonderful. What are pops?
ReplyDeleteIf you clicked on the links (that are the words) it takes you to them. They are 40-2 1/2" strips of Hoffman batiks. They are soo sumptuous!
Thanks!
The pops are yummy, just what I need something else to be addicted to. ;) The pinwheel is fantastic. I can't wait to see the finished Sunflower quilt.
ReplyDeleteThanks Cindy! I have soo much to do :)
Your block looks great! Enjoy the family time this week-end! Relax and take a breath. All is good.:)
ReplyDeleteThank you Polly!

ReplyDeleteWill you please email me with my MBS partner's info. Lost it in cyperspace somewhere.
