Almost a light at the end of the tunnel....

Only 1 1/2 more days to go to get a break from work!  If I could I would take off Thursday and Friday as well.

We are opened today for 1/2 a day and I have encouraged folks to do a sit and sew at the shop.  I'm thinking it might be a slow day---until I looked outside and saw how gorgeous it was.

My friend Sati came over last night and she has a few sewing jobs for us to work on.  We sergered 8" off 2 king size pillow cases, we mended a blanket and I whipped up 2 new pillowcases from my stash for her new sheets she got on sale.  And she dug through my scraps and decorated her flip flops by tying 4-5" long by 1-2.5" wide strips on the thong parts of her flip flops.  They turned out fun!!  Then we watched a movie and hung out.

I haven't had time to read blogs this week and I'm so behind on many people's. :(  .........

Opps...started this post on Sunday morning and now it's Monday! le sigh....though yesterday, Sharon and I did our traditional routine of moving a whole section of fabric around while the boss is away!  Hoping we don't get into too much trouble :)  And I had to share my time card (our pay week ends on Saturday--but I did work Sunday) for last week---I have worked 40 hours---I haven't worked that many hours in one week in over 3 years!

And I realized I forgot to share one more item that Kate sent in my booty swap....this neat note pad made by her--the one piece on the back is a rusted piece of metal that I think is just tooo cool!

I would love to just sit and sew and run away, but I think I'll be sleeping off Wednesday!  I'm so behind on so many routine things it's not funny.  I need a week off to catch up! LOL

  4. Sometimes when you really want something you have to really work for it, and I admire anyone who can go for it full steam ahead.

    Great blog.
