YAH!! I'm glad the holiday month is over! Not that I was overly stressed this year, but now I can get back to SEWING!!!! WHOOOO HOOOOO....I've gone through all my UFO's and removed some and redid my spreadsheet. I had TONS of UFO's left to do, but I'm going to do my fabric diet effort again. No new projects for the next few months---must get at least 10 UFO's done and ready for quilting! I think my stash is will aid in a lot of backings as well.
I got my first issue of Irish Quilting and I'm soooooo impressed. Sherry and her team did an awsome job on their new magazine dedicated to quilting in Ireland. I LOVE, love love the pictures and the settings of quilts in the countryside of Ireland with brief descriptions of places. I definitely see this magazine growing in popularity. I ordered mine from here, but their official website is www.irishquilting.ie I highly recommend getting yours today.
I also purchased a neat paper piecing borders book when I order the magazine :)
I'm wishing everyone a blessful and happy new year. Wish and dream big and don't sweat the small stuff!! Live life!! Love ya!
Glad to see a post from you, I worry about you when I don't hear from you. I hope to dream and wish big this year!! Have a great year.
ReplyDeleteThat magazine looks interesting. Off to check the site out.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!!! I am so glad that the holidays are finally over and I can get back to sewing too! I have been trying to sort my UFO's and quilt tops! I have 74 quilt tops that need to be quilted. Hubby said that I could buy my own quilting machine in a month or so. I am so excited!!! Hopefully, I can get alot of them quilted!

I just purchased a copy of that quilting magazine from my sort of LQS - but I haven't had a chance to actually look at it yet. Now you've made me want to go find it and leaf through. :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you! And just so you know - I thought of you when I saw "pirate" hand towels in our local Sears store (in Canada)!
That magazine looks interesting. Does it look like they use a lot of the same methods as we do?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the shout out. Wait til you see issue no. 2!! We are excited, thanks for your support. We will have a full Irish Quilting blog on the website with the arrival of issue 2!
