I have tried to write a post since Friday and get distracted and have like 3 drafts in my account! Well, let's see if I can get this one published? Of course now I have TONS of pictures to share....
I mentioned we got our first snow last week and then we got more a few days later...nothing stuck around, but it was pretty and I have proof:
The second picture is from the balcony from work on the second time we got snow last week!!
Then we stood and took pictures at my class on Friday with our round robins together....though we couldn't get all 5 of us in the picture :( L-R Pam, Jane, Me, Eva)
Then Friday, I received my Spring Fling Round Robin #2 piece completed. Isn't it pretty? Margaret did a great job on the quilting, I wish I had that skill. It definitely travelled the world to come back to me.
And did some rearranging of my little quilts and added this new one to the mix:
Whew....do you want to see more pictures....I have more.....????
Lookie what I got from Gina!? It's my Holiday Booty Swap!! I'm not going to open any of it, unless Gina you want me to open it? I love surprises!!
Oh and it was binding weekend, completed 7 new ones:
I now have over 10 tops complete with backings and bindings that need to be quilted....le sigh, one day I hope to own a real longarm :(
One more picture, a group shot from my weekend retreat with friends. I now have this picture framed (by Eva who gave everyone the picture framed) in my sewing area (L-R: Cheryl, Eva, Me, Jane, Donna, Jackie II):
Did I post too many pictures? I'm sure I'll have more this week as I hope to finish some tops and take turkey pictures - we all love food pictures, right?
YAH! I did it...almost, all I have to do is hit publish.......
your pictures are wonderful. The snow looks so serene.
ReplyDeleteI love your round robin!
Pictures!!!! You know I love to see what you are doing. ;) I wish I loved snow the way others do. :( The spring fling is so pretty, I have never been brave enough to sign up for a round robin. All that binding, could I just send my fabric to you and you make my binding for me? ;)
ReplyDeleteLots of goodies!!! You are really quick on making those bindings! I need to do that! I have right at 70 tops that need to be quilted!
ReplyDeleteKristie
Such a nice display of quilts in your home!!
ReplyDeleteYay for pictures!
ReplyDeleteAre my two little quilts the smallest ones you have? They look tiny in comparison!
Well my dear it's up to you. I didn't really mean for you to wait until Christmas but if you can be strong enough to then by all means. If you feel the need to rip open the parcels then be my guest.
ReplyDeleteMind you that box got to you very quilckly, I'm impressed.
Love and hugs Gina xxx
You're invited! To the LAST PUSH quilt-a-thon I am having . Come see what it's all about!

Lots of lovely pictures! And wow, so many bindings done too!!!
ReplyDeleteI love pictues. I love seeing what everyone is doing. There can't be too many pictures.
ReplyDeleteI just love Jane's round robin, the blue and green one. And hurray for you for making binding ahead of time! If I would sit down and do so, it would save me a lot of time in the long run scrounging for fabric for binding after I've quilted the quilt. Might also save me a few runs to the fabric store...hmm...great idea! Thanks for posting pics of your lovely quilts (especially the pirate one, that kicks so much butt!)
ReplyDeleteWow, small world. I live in Clinton and shop in OR.
ReplyDeleteLucky you ..... a great RR quilt and I love seeing how you display your mini quilts. It is almost like you are flying your colours .... um quilts!
