Michael Phelps impressed me.....

I've watched all his races this past week and it just amazes me and makes me more proud to know he's a hometown boy.  Katie Hoffs didn't do to bad either.  Congrats to all the participates so far in the Olympics, they are all amazing!

Yesterday, was sewing day....lots of sewing.  I finished my Booty Swap, finished my Round Robin for work and finished my center block for my Spring Fling, though I think I used the wrong preferences and unsure who I'm making it for yet.... :)  Busy and unfortunately, I can't share any pictures....mmm wait, I can tease...

Now you have to figure out which project is which :)

Today's agenda, mmmmm....definitely nap....watching Olympics til mid-night all week has wrecked my sleeping pattern and this is the pre-back to school week---meaning, going to bed early, getting up early in preparation for the real thing the following week.  Kids hate this annual week routine :) not like mom enjoys it either?  LOL

Bindings need to be ironed out, I need to do 2 DJ blocks, being I missed one yesterday.  And I'm sure I can finish up another top ---that's a joke.  At least I'm all caught up on my swaps again - YAH!

Enough rambling, it's time to get sewing---so I can take a nap :))

  1. Girlfriend, you are so clever.....getting stuff done before time......I need your energy!

It's not energy, it's avoidance....meaning no laundry going, no cleaning going on, no gardening, no socializing...well, except I did have a friend over to sew with me :) LOL

Naps are an important part of quilting. We do have to keep our energy up. Don't forget chocolate while the iron is warming. Love the colors in your teasers.

I got a small nap in and there's always chocolate around in my sewing area---as long as my kids don't find it!! Thanks!

  4. Michael is one of a few of the swimmers and divers NOT currently training in Austin. :D About half of the team is either currently on or was on the UT-Austin team, which I believe is undefeated for years and years at the NCAA Championships.

He's insane, though - I think it's neat getting to see history be made.

And what about those US FENCERS?!?!?!?! Two silver teams (both unexpected!), team bronze, and THREE individuals, on in each color! GO TEAM USA!

Back to school...can't say I envy you! My time as the parent-end of it will come one day, though! Sounds like a good routine (pre-BTS week), but I can see why they hate it. :D

I've done the back to school routine since I was a kid. It does help with the sleep patterns and makes first week of school a little less stressful.

I was surprised to hear that most of the swimmers trained at UT as well, but it's all good because it just makes me think of you :)

And YAH for fencing!! I can't imagine how excited you are!!
