A Challenge with a prize....

I know I haven't given something away in a longgggg time and ya know after reading Kate's blog again and her periodical give aways, it dawned on me I still have a HUGE blue rubbermaid tub of wonderful stuff (that I have no use for) to still offer up.....along with that thought and seeing everyone one receiving their Four Season Summer Swap Quilts, it dawned on me --- exactly how do folks display their little quilts.

Well, I have shown mine before and I have seen a few others, but now a year later and seeing familiar names in the same little quilt swaps going on, I know we all have collected quite a few. So, again here are mine (again).

Quilts I have made for swaps:

Quilts I have received from swaps (and a few extras as gifts):

How I display them: My sewing area is about 22' x 15'. There is a house support beam that runs in the middle of my area. On one side there is wire with hanger clips and on the other side I had originally put up a curtain rod to divide the room. Well, we added curtain hooks to it and it is not starting to collect quilts on it as well.

And one quiltlet hangs over my cutting area to inspire me (it was made by Bren):

So, here the challenge, write a post with the following:

  • Show pictures of all the quilts you have made for swaps (in the past 12 months)

  • Show pictures of all the quilts you have received from swaps (in the past 12 months)

  • Finally, explain and show how your display them

Next, come back here leave a comment so I can view your post and add you into the pool of lucky people to be drawn from.

The lucky winner will get this:

A bag of buttons, 28-5" Charm pack and a Me & My Sisters Designs Summer Tea Pattern CD

I'll give everyone a two weeks to complete and draw a winner Sunday, August 31st. Show off your quilts!

  6. Can't participate as have not been in country long enough do any swaps...but yours are lovely and gave me ideas about how to hide my UGLY areas in my little quilt studio.I will hang all the small flimsies up on a clothes line. Thanks. Love the idea.

Fabric!! Use fabric to "hide" your unsightly areas of your studio....it bets storing it away out of sight :) LOL

Your welcome and thanks for stopping by!
