One swap down...2 more to go...

I'm surprised to find out my Spring Four Season Quilt has already arrived to it's new home! So, I can show off the full pictures now..ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....I just realized when I created the "tease" image a few days ago, I cropped the entire picture....WHAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, so I don't have a copy of the quilt. Hopefully Karlie will post a picture in her blog (pretty please?). Here's what images I do have:

updated...picture from Karlie's blog:

I love the close up of my little butterfly...I free motioned that and was tickled with the outcome. The appliqué work was all done on my wonderful Viking D1! Yep, I cheated, but the effect was cute-I thought.

Now to get the other two mini quilts done soon!

Great job on the freemotion quilting! I'm sure the receiver was tickled to receive the quilt, it is so pretty. You cheated on the applique'? :P

Yep, cheated. I have an embroidery unit for my Designer 1 and all I did was cut the pieces out and put them on the fabric...the machine made the perfect applique around the edges. :)

  2. I've done that before -- cropped a photo and not kept the original. Frustrating! Looks like a fun quilt. :)
Yeah-- what did you mean by cheating?

I have an embroidery machine that did it all for me...all I had to do was cut the fabric out! Thanks!

YAH! Thank you Kristie! It wasn't too hard, I'm not crazy about free motioning!

  4. Looks great. I think the lime green and pink really set each other off.

Thank you! I love lime green! But the picture isn't accurate, it's more like a medium olive green.

    Thanks for commenting!
