I've got a large selection of batiks - but they are in small pieces, most are about the size of a fat eighth - perfect for this project.
And now you see where my "Wordless Wednesday" came from :)
I finished up February's block over the weekend and I'm having fun with color and texture.
This is both of my blocks together:
I need to pull some of my larger pieces of batiks (I have several 3+yards pieces) to see if I can work them into the many borders for the finishing part of this top. I think this quilt is going to be very stunning! I love batiks!
Don't forget to do your daily entry for my Manic Monday Offering!
I like this BOM and the blocks you have already are just wonderful!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty quilt! Your blocks are fantastic. I see the fabric is being inspected. ;)
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful blocks! I am saving my batiks for my Indian Orange Peel arcs but hope to be finished with that by the summer.
ReplyDeleteYour blocks are gorgeous. I didn't know about this BOM - thanks for the link. I have downloaded the first two blocks. I don't have many batiks so I guess this would be a good reason to purchase some.
ReplyDeleteThis will be just stunning with all those gorgeous colors. Are the blocks 12 X 12?
ReplyDeleteYour color choices look great. I usually don't have enough choices that go together.
ReplyDeleteas usual Toni, your fabric choices are delightful.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blocks. I love the colours in the February one.
ReplyDeleteOh, that looks like it will be one pretty quilt when you get done.
ReplyDeleteI love batiks. Looks like you are going to have a gorgeous quilt when you are done.
ReplyDeleteI'm doing it! I've never worked with batiks before, so I had to buy some. I got the first block cut out and will sew it when I get my machine back from the repair shop! I'm doing the paper piecing method because I love paper piecing! Your blocks turned out fabulous! I see me buying many more batiks in the future!
ReplyDeleteI'm saving this one, but haven't started. I'm drowning in UFOs now....grin. I'm glad I went back and looked. I see she has foundation patterns for this also. Must have missed that.
ReplyDeleteYour blocks are already stunning!
