Another one done!

I'm soo happy this is done!  I even found (by some miracle) enough funky green & pink fabric in my stash to piece together a backing!  I was going to add a border, but the fabric I had - I thought - would just add to the busy-ness of the entire quilt.  Right now the size is 78" square which will be perfect for my oldest daughter who is 5'5".  Do you think it's bright enough?

I also added hanging corners and binding to my Sunflower Portrait quilt last night.  Hope to have it bound and hung by end of the weekend and I'll take another picture then!

I work today and tomorrow, so unsure if I'll any sewing done, but I'm sure I'll find some time.

  1. I am about to border mine - I was only able to eeek out 12 blocks.

Yah, I was going to stop at 20 and use sashing to make the quilt bigger, but I just sat down over the past 3 days and put these blocks out. I spent all the time and money on picking out funky pink and green fabric and figured I better use it up! :) And there are still about 8 fabrics left over. I was going to make 42 blocks...EPP!!!

  10. I think it is just bright enough! I love this quilt and think I have the pattern here somewhere - it is an Atkinson pattern isn't it?

  11. really pretty - I think I once made a quilt to this pattern, a very long time ago. The time might have come to revisit it, though.

Thank you so much Kate. It really isn't that difficult of a pattern. I do like it better with a border.
